Always perform the below listed steps after every ride
1. Rinse off the equipment with freshwater to prevent corrosion on the metal parts and to remove sand grains and other sharp particles that can otherwise scratch the finish of the board.
NOTE! DO NOT USE HIGH PRESSURE WATER TO RINSE OF THE EQUIPMENT!
2. After rinsing every piece of equipment separately, let all parts air dry completely (avoid drying the equipment in the sun for an extended period of time).
3. Storing wet or moist equipment can cause algae, coral or mould growth which can create both bad odor, discolouration and deformations on the equipment.
4. Look for loose screws and clearances between parts. If there are any loose screws present on the board, BP or drive unit, tighten them with an Allen key. Touch and feel all components to make sure there are no gaps between them and that they are fitted properly. Note that the jet system is especially exposed to marine debris and rough bottom conditions.
CHECKLIST 1. Disconnect PKL from BP |
